Terms of Service

1. Scope and acceptance

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the operator of the Oxypaw product (“Oxypaw,” “we,” or “us”) governing the Oxypaw desktop application, website, updates, and related support (collectively, the “Service”). If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you can bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must have the legal age and capacity required to enter this agreement where you live. Oxypaw currently works without an account. If account features are introduced, you must provide accurate information and protect your credentials.

3. Software license

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use Oxypaw only for lawful software development, testing, security research, and network troubleshooting.

• Do not sell, rent, sublicense, or commercially redistribute Oxypaw;
• Do not remove copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices;
• Do not circumvent technical restrictions or decompile the software to obtain source code, except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• Do not make commitments for Oxypaw or imply sponsorship, agency, or endorsement.

4. Traffic capture and authorized use

Oxypaw can configure a system proxy, capture HTTP/HTTPS traffic, generate debugging certificates, inspect and replay requests, and modify traffic through rules. These capabilities may expose credentials, tokens, personal information, and other sensitive data.

• Intercept only devices, applications, systems, and traffic you own, manage, or are expressly authorized to test;
• Obtain all required permissions before testing third-party or organizational systems and follow applicable laws, contracts, and security policies;
• Do not use the Service for unauthorized access, data theft, surveillance, malware distribution, access-control evasion, or disruption;
• You are responsible for captured, stored, exported, shared, or replayed data and the consequences of those actions.

5. Root certificates and device security

HTTPS decryption may require installing an Oxypaw root certificate. A root certificate expands local access to trusted traffic. Install it only on controlled devices, restrict access to its private key, and remove the certificate and disable the proxy when no longer needed. Never distribute its private key to untrusted people or devices.

6. Data and privacy

Oxypaw is local-first: captured sessions and rules are stored on your device by default. Unless a feature clearly tells you otherwise and you enable it, we do not require captured content to be uploaded to Oxypaw. You are responsible for securing local databases, exports, backups, and personal data, and for providing notices or obtaining consent required by law.

7. Updates, third parties, and open source

We may provide feature, security, or compatibility updates and may change or discontinue features. The Service may depend on operating-system capabilities, third-party networks, update distribution, or open-source components; third-party content is governed by its own terms. We do not control the continued availability of third-party services.

8. Fees and refunds

Oxypaw offers a Free version, a one-time-purchase Pro version, and a Team version. The publicly accessible pricing page shows each version’s price and included benefits before purchase; applicable taxes are shown before payment. Purchases through a third party are also subject to that provider’s terms.

Pro is a one-time purchase and does not renew automatically. Team pricing depends on team size and needs; contact us by email for details.

You may request a full refund within 7 days of your first payment. Duplicate charges or billing errors are refunded in full. Any statutory right of withdrawal required by applicable law is unaffected.

9. Intellectual property and feedback

Oxypaw and the intellectual property in its interface, branding, code, and documentation belong to us or their respective owners. No ownership transfers under these Terms. If you voluntarily provide ideas or feedback, you permit us to use them without restriction or compensation.

10. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or capture of every protocol or request. Network debugging may affect connectivity, certificate trust, application behavior, or data. Back up important data and validate your target environment first.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Oxypaw is not liable for lost profit, revenue, data, or goodwill; business interruption; or indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages. Liability that cannot legally be excluded is limited only to the extent permitted by law. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or anything else that law does not allow us to limit.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, use the Service in a way that creates security or legal risk, or if law requires action. You may stop using and uninstall Oxypaw at any time. On termination, the license ends; provisions that should survive by their nature, including intellectual-property, disclaimer, liability, and dispute terms, remain effective.

13. Changes, applicable law, and contact

We may update these Terms to reflect product, legal, or security changes. Material changes will be announced in advance through the website, in-product notice, or another reasonable method. Continued use means acceptance of the updated Terms. These Terms are governed by laws with jurisdiction over the relationship between you and Oxypaw, without limiting mandatory consumer rights.
