Privacy Policy
This Policy explains how Oxypaw handles information across the desktop app, website, downloads, and support.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Oxypaw desktop application, oxypaw.io, software downloads and updates, and support communications you initiate. Third-party websites, applications, and services are governed by their own policies.
2. Data processed locally by the app
To provide network debugging, Oxypaw processes and stores on your device the HTTP/HTTPS requests and responses you choose to capture, including domains, timestamps, status, headers, bodies, WebSocket messages, debugging rules, and app settings. This data may contain account identifiers, tokens, cookies, or other sensitive content.
- Captured sessions and rules are stored in a local database by default;
- Root certificates and related keys are generated and managed on your device;
- We do not receive captured traffic or local rules unless a feature clearly says so and you take an action to send them;
- You can delete sessions or rules, reset certificates in the app, or remove the app by uninstalling it.
3. Website and download information
When you visit the website or download software, hosting, content-delivery, and security providers may automatically process IP address, request time, page or file requested, referring page, browser and operating system, device type, HTTP status, bytes transferred, and security events. This is used to deliver pages and installers, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and understand aggregate use.
- The current website does not require an account;
- We do not use captured traffic to build advertising profiles;
- If we later use non-essential cookies or analytics, we will update this notice first and request consent where required.
4. Information you provide
If you contact us, report an issue, or send feedback, we process the name or alias, contact details, messages, attachments, and diagnostics you choose to provide. Remove unrelated passwords, tokens, and personal data before sharing logs or screenshots.
5. Purposes and legal bases
We process information only to provide and secure the Service, deliver downloads and updates, respond to support, fix issues, improve the product, comply with law, and protect legal rights. Where a legal basis is required, we rely on performing a contract, your consent, legal obligations, or legitimate interests that do not override your rights.
6. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose necessary information to providers working for us on hosting, content delivery, security, software distribution, or support; when required by law; to protect users and the Service; during a corporate reorganization; or at your direction. Providers may process it only for agreed purposes.
7. International processing and retention
Website infrastructure and providers may process information outside your region. We use safeguards required by applicable law. Information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above, legal obligations, or disputes; retention periods vary by log and support record. Captured data on your device remains under your control until you delete it.
8. Security
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the information, but no system can promise absolute security. Protect your device login, limit access to root-certificate private keys, install updates, and redact captured content before sharing or exporting it.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, obtain a portable copy, or complain to a regulator. We may verify your identity and limit a request where law permits. You can inspect or delete local app data directly.
10. Children
Oxypaw is intended for developers and technical users able to enter a service agreement. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the digital age of consent where they live. Contact us through the official support channel if you believe a child provided information.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy as the product, law, or our processing changes. Material changes will be announced through the website, in-product notice, or another reasonable method, and the new effective date will appear here.
For privacy questions or rights requests, use the support channel published on the official Oxypaw website and mark your message “Privacy Request.”
